The brand’s story began in 1990 when founder Mandy Cabot discovered a comfortable Danish clog while traveling in Europe. That experience inspired her to bring the distinctive footwear style to the United States. Today, Dansko remains a women-founded, employee-owned company focused on creating shoes that help people stay comfortable wherever the day takes them.
